Skilled workforce is absolutly crucial for developing offshore wind sector in Europe.
This is a conclusion after very interesting discussion panel during EUSEW2023 (European Sustainable Energy Week) in Brussels.
Each EU country is struggling with lack of well-qualified staff for offshore wind.
European Commission sees these problems. Now, many new funding programmes are being developed to help up-skilling or re-skilling workers for OWE.
During the discussion, it turns out that each European country has its own solutions.
Agnieszka Rodak presented Pomeranian Offshore Renewable Energy Competence Centre in Rumia as an Umbrella centre for training  and coaching, R&D, conference space, promotion and information of OWE.
Also, Agnieszka invited everyone for the second edition of EDU OFFSHORE WIND 2024 – education careers fair in 5 -6 of March 2024.

All European offshore countries should cooperate by sharing experience and inspiring and motivating young people to offshore wind sector.
Panelists underlined also there are a lot of opportunities in offshore for women as well. Not every one has to work on turbine!
Let’s highlite benefits of working in offshore wind altogether

Thank you Pomorskie Regional EU Office for your support.
