A ceremonial signing of the Polish Offshore Wind Sector Deal took place on 15.09.2021. The event was initiated by Ireneusz Zyska, the Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy.
Among the signatories of the Deal there were representatives of the government and local administration, investors (developers), entities participating in the supply chain for the offshore wind energy sector, industry organizations, representatives of universities and research and development institutes. Rumia Invest Park was represented by Agnieszka Rodak - President of the Board. The event was also attended by representatives of the Marshal's Office of Pomeranian Voivodeship – Marshal Leszek Bonna, Karolina Lipińska and Łukasz Dąbrowski.
The main objective of the signed Deal is to maximise the local, Polish contribution to the supply chains for the construction of wind farms in the Baltic Sea. This is an important step towards making offshore wind energy a strong impulse for the Polish economy.
