A letter of intent concerning co-operation within the Pomeranian Centre of Competence for Marine Renewable Energy took place today. The document was signed by Starost of Lębork Alicja Zajączkowska, Mayor of Łeba Andrzej Strzechmiński, Mayor of Rumia Michał Pasieczny and President of Rumia Invest Park Agnieszka Rodak.

The construction of offshore wind farms on the Baltic Sea is a huge opportunity for the region's economy, the local labour market, education and vocational training. The Pomeranian Centre of Competence for Marine Renewable Energy in Rumia is our priority unique project, identified by the Pomeranian Voivodship Board as strategic for the region. Located in the immediate vicinity of the installation port in Gdynia, it will serve as an umbrella under which we join forces with investors, research and development institutions as well as local authorities to prepare personnel for the offshore industry.

We are very proud of our cooperation with the authorities of Łeba and Lębork. Together we will take actions to eliminate the competence gap on the regional labour market.
